Boat careening station

MARITIME: mandatory treatment of careening water

Careening is the periodic maintenance of a ship’s underwater parts. From pleasure craft to sea giants, all vessels must undergo this operation to clean the hull and restore its original nautical qualities. It also extends the life of the boat.

Wild careening is forbidden:

This procedure, which often took place at low tide for small boats, must now be carried out in a careening area equipped with a wastewater treatment system. Indeed, the coating applied to the boat’s hull (antifouling) to prevent the attachment of aquatic organisms generates particles that are toxic to the marine environment during stripping, and must under no circumstances be discharged into the sea.

Filtration accessible to all: XPERTUS offers careening water filtration solutions for areas of all sizes. In some cases, all that’s needed is a space-saving (< 1 m²), low-cost installation to meet the filtration needs of these waste waters.
